To build a sustainable Massachusetts, we need bold changes. And fast.
Our goal is to place clean energy on the 2018 ballot a climate-related ballot question. Our language will ensure a just energy transition that supports marginalized communities.
Expanding the supply of renewable energy can be an engine of shared prosperity, at once propelling our economy, fighting inequality, and protecting our climate. It's time to move away from the extraction economy and start building wealth in our communities with renewable energy. We do, after all, live in a Commonwealth.
We are currently consulting with various stakeholders, experts, and lawyers over the specific language of the ballot initiative. The language will be finalized in early August, 2017 -- and after that we will sprint to collect the necessary signatures between Sept. 6 and Nov. 22, 2017. To make Massachusetts a climate leader, we need the help of climate leaders all over the state, like you. Are you in?
